Annie Baker, Joe DiPietro, Julia Jordan, Tina Howe, Lisa Kron, Emily Mann, et al. Set for Women in Theater Symposium

The Women’s Initiative, a group of dramatists active in the Dramatists Guild of America, will present the symposium “Women in Theater: Achieving Gender Parity,” at The Players Club, on Saturday, December 4, from 1pm to 5pm.

Jonathan Larson and Kleban award-winning playwright Julia Jordan will be the keynote speaker, while panel moderators will include Julia Crosby and Tina Howe.

The Symposium will feature two panels. The first is “How Plays Are Really Selected: The Scoop!” with panelists Tessa LaNeve, Linda Chapman, Beth Blickers, Emily Mann, and Charles Weldon. The second panel, “Creating Your Own Opportunities” will feature Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, Tony nominee Lisa Kron, Obie Award winner Annie Baker, and 13P member Winter Miller.
