Target Margin to Focus on Tennessee Williams in 2010

Target Margin Theater has announced that it will offer a full production and a three-week festival in early 2010, which will focus on the works of playwright Tennessee Williams.

The theater’s season will begin with TMT Laboratory: The Unknown Williams (March 11-27), at the Bushwick Starr. The festival will focus on the playwright’s lesser known works, as well as taking a new look at his familiar plays. A complete lineup of events will be announced at a later date.

Target Margin will also present the world premiere of The Really Big Once, to run April 15 – May 8 at The Ontological at St. Mark’s. This company-created work explores the collaboration that Williams and director Elia Kazan shared. The piece, sanctioned by both men’s estates, has been developed from the artists’ notebooks, letters, and recollections. Casting and creative team will be announced shortly.
