Stephen Adly Guirgis will direct Michael Aronov’s solo show Manigma, to be presented at the Harold Clurman Theater on Theatre Row, January 15-March 13, with an opening set for January 22.

The piece depicts six distinct characters — all performed by Aronov — who represent extrapolated versions of the actor’s own personality. The production will feature original music by David Majzlin and Aronov, scenic design by Bednark Studios, and lighting design by Ben Kato.

Aronov received an Elliot Norton Award for his performance in Mauritius, and his prior New York credits include Miss Julie and Spain. Guirgis, a co-artistic director of LAByrinth Theater Company, is best known as a playwright, with works including The Little Flower of East Orange, Our Lady of 121st Street, Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train, and In Arabia, We’d All Be Kings.
