Maurice Hines will offer a one-night only performance of Tappin' through Life at the Baruch Performing Arts Center on March 1 at 7pm. The event will be a fundraiser for Amas Musical Theatre's Education and Theatre Programs.

Hines will pay tribute to the singers who have been an inspiration throughout his life, including Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Joe Williams, and Lena Horne. He'll be joined by the Diva Orchestra and the Rosetta LeNoire Academy Teens.

Hines received a Tony nomination for his performance in the revue, Uptown...It's Hot!, which he also directed. His additional Broadway acting credits include Sophisticated Ladies, Eubie! and Bring Back Birdie. He was most recently represented on Broadway with his direction and choreography of Hot Feet.
