Manhattan Theatre Club has announced guests and dates for upcoming sessions of After Words, to be held in conjunction with the New York premiere of Time Stands Still. The discussion panels will be held after selected Saturday matinees at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.

Donald Margulies’ play — which begins previews at the Friedman on January 5, with an opening set for January 28 — concerns long-term couple James and Sarah, a journalist and a photographer who share a passion for documenting the realities of war. But when injuries force them to return home to New York, they confront the prospect of a more conventional life. The cast stars Eric Bogosian, Brian d’Arcy James, Laura Linney, and Alicia Silverstone.

The January 9 panel will feature the play’s director, Daniel Sullivan, along with Sebastian Junger, bestselling author of The Perfect Storm; Jack Saul, PhD, assistant professor at Columbia University and director of the International Trauma Studies Program; and moderator David Shookhoff, MTC’s Director of Education. On January 16, award-winning war photographer James Nachtwey will join Margulies, with the discussion moderated by NPR’s Brooke Gladstone.
