York’s My Vaudeville Man! Will Get Cast Recording

The York Theatre and Melanie Herman’s production of My Vaudeville Man!, starring Shonn Wiley and Karen Murphy and directed and choreographer by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, will be recorded on January 2. No release date has been set.

The show, which originally debuted at NYMF under the title Mud Donahue and Son, tells the story of tap dancer Jack Donahue and the mother who fought to keep him home. It has a book by Jeff Hochhauser, music by Bob Johnston, and lyrics by Johnston and Hochhauser.

Wiley’s stage credits include No, No, Nanette, Candide, 42nd Street, Dracula, and Saved. Murphy’s credits include 9 to 5, All Shook Up, and Zombie Prom. Taylor-Corbett won the 2008 Callaway Award for her work on the show and received two Tony Award nominations for her work on the Broadway musical Swing!
