Jeff Goldblum and Laura Michelle Kelly will join previously announced star Kevin Spacey in the Old Vic’s 20th anniversary revival of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow, to run February 1-April 26. The production will be directed by Matthew Warchus and designed by Rob Howell with lighting by Paul Pyant.

In the play, Hollywood producers Bobby Gould (Goldblum) and Charlie Fox (Spacey) engage in a verbal boxing match about the eternal debate of art versus money. Should Gould go for another bad blockbuster that will make his fortune or put himself on the line for an adaptation of a spiritual, apocalyptic novel offered to him by his beautiful secretary Karen (Kelly)?

Goldblum, who is making his West End debut, received a Tony Award nomination for The Pillowman, and also appeared on Broadway in The Moony Shapiro Songbook and Two Gentleman of Verona. Kelly won the Olivier Award for Mary Poppins and has appeared on the London stage in Lord of the Rings, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia!, Whistle Down the Wind, and My Fair Lady. She starred in Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway and can currently be seen as the Beggar Woman in the film version of Sweeney Todd.
