Patch Darragh, Kandiss Edmundson, Austin Lysy, Peter Macdisi, David Margulies, and Victor Slezak will star in the New York Theatre Workshop’s world premiere of Alan Ball’s All That I Will Ever Be, which begins performances on January 17. The production, which will open officially on February 6, will be directed by Jo Bonney.

Ball’s play focuses on the provocative relationship between Dwight, a privileged native Angeleno (to be played by Lysy), and Omar, an enigmatic immigrant from the Middle East (to be played by Macdisi). Ball received the Academy Award for his screenplay of American Beauty and was the producer, as well as writer and director, on HBO’s Six Feet Under, for which he won an Emmy Award. His plays include Five Women Wearing the Same Dress and The M Word.

The show’s creative team will include Neil Patel (sets), Emilio Sosa (costumes), David Lander (lighting), and Darron L. West (sound). Bonney directed The Seven last season for NYTW; her many other credits include subUrbia, A Soldier’s Play, Fat Pig, and Living Out.
