Two of the city’s major cabaret venues, The Café Carlyle and The Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel, have announced their Winter-Spring 2007 seasons.

The Carlyle will kick off with award-winning actress Rita Moreno (January 16-February 10), whose new show is called Little Tributes. Up next, Grammy Award winner Judy Collins will make her cabaret debut (February 13-March 2). She will be followed by Jane Monheit (March 6-31), Keely Smith (April 3-May 5), and John Pizzarelli and wife Jessica Molaskey (May 8-26). In addition, KT Sullivan and Mark Nadler will perform their critically acclaimed show A Swell Party: RSVP Cole Porter on Sunday, January 21.

At the Algonquin, the season will begin with chanteuse Maude Maggart (January 16-February 10), followed by the popular mother-son team of singer Sandy Stewart and pianist Bill Charlap (February 13-24). Up next will be Lari White, the Grammy-winning singer who co-starred in Broadway’s short-lived Ring of Fire (February 27-March 3), singer Tony DeSare (March 6-17), and Sullivan and Nadler in a salute to the late songwriting team of Adolph Green and Betty Comden (March 20-April 14). They will be followed by another Oak Room stalwart, past Tony Award nominee Karen Akers (April 17-May 12).
