Chaka Khan to Perform at B.B. King on New Year’s Eve

Grammy Award winner Chaka Khan will play the B.B. King Blues Club in New York City on New Year’s Eve, taking the place of singer James Brown, who passed away on Monday. She will do sets at 8pm and 10:30pm.

Khan, who has won eight Grammy Awards over her 30-plus-year career, is known for such hits as “Tell Me Something Good,” “Sweet Thing,” “Ain’t Nobody,” “I’m Every Woman,” and “I Feel For You.”

She has been heard on the soundtracks of numerous films, including To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar, Waiting to Exhale,, Bridget Jones’ Diary, and The 40 Year Old Virgin. Khan also appeared briefly in the film The Blues Brothers.
