Rachel York will take over the role of Christine Colgate in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels from February 7 through June 18, filling in for Sherie Rene Scott, who’ll be taking a leave of absence to perform in the Signature Theatre Company’s production of John Guare’s Landscape of the Body opposite Lili Taylor. Scott is scheduled to return to Scoundrels on June 20.

York’s Broadway credits include Sly Fox, Victor/Victoria, City of Angels, Les Misérables, and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Earlier this year, she starred in the Lincoln Center Theater’s Dessa Rose and the Paper Mill Playhouse production of Ragtime. She starred in the national tour and the London production of Kiss Me, Kate, as well as the Reprise production of Anything Goes. York also played Lucille Ball in the television film Lucy.

In Scoundrels, York will co-star with Tony Award winners Norbert Leo Butz, Jonathan Pryce, and Joanna Gleason. The show opened on March 3, 2005 and was nominated for 11 Tony Awards.
