Mary Faber to Replace Stephanie D’Abruzzo in Avenue Q

Mary Faber will replace Stephanie D’Abruzzo in the roles of Kate Monster and Lucy The Slut in the long-running Broadway hit Avenue Q, beginning on December 26. D’Abruzzo, an original cast member, is leaving the production to star in the new Off-Broadway musical I Love You Because.
Earlier this year, Faber was seen Off-Broadway in Slut and The Tutor, and she played the title role in the 2004 production of the children’s musical Junie B. Jones.
Avenue Q will celebrate its 1,000th performance at the Golden Theatre on December 22. It currently stars Christian Anderson, Jennifer Barhart, Natalie Venetia Belcon, Barrett Foa, Jordan Gelber, and Ann Harada. The show won Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book.
