Jessica Boevers, John Lavelle, and Craig Wroe will appear as guest artists in the Aquila Theatre Company’s production of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing at the La Jolla Playhouse, January 17-February 19. The show replaces the previously announced The Essential Alice in the theater’s schedule.

The production was created by Peter Meineck and Robert Richmond (who also directs). It co-stars Aquila regulars Marwa Bernstein, Louis Butelli, Anthony Cochrane, Kathryn Merry, and Kenn Sabberton.

Boevers, who will play Beatrice, was the female lead in the Joe Brooks musical In My Life and previously co-starred on Broadway in Oklahoma! and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Lavelle, who will play Claudio and Verges, was recently seen Off-Broadway in Rope and played Benjamin in the Broadway production of The Graduate. Wroe, who will play Leonato, has been seen Off-Broadway in Othello, King John, and The Alexander Plays.
