Are American Jews in the midst of a cultural renaissance or a cultural decline? The National Foundation for Jewish Culture recently posed that question to 36 of America’s leading Jewish community leaders, artists, and scholars. On Wednesday, January 14 at 7:30pm at the Jewish Community Center (334 Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street), there will be a conversation between two of the respondents, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwrights Tony Kushner (Angels in America, Homebody/Kabul, Caroline, or Change) and Wendy Wasserstein (The Heidi Chronicles, The Sisters Rosensweig.)

The event will be moderated by Richard Siegel, executive director of the National Foundation for Jewish Culture. Tickets, priced at $8, may be purchased by calling 646-505-5708 and mentioning the speakers and date or by using the program code BOOK1/EL8W4.
