It has been announced that Merwin Foard will replace Shuler Hensley as Jud Fry in the Cameron Mackintosh-Trevor Nunn-Susan Stroman production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! on Broadway, beginning January 7.

Hensley, who won a Tony for his performance as the violent farmhand after having played the role in the London production, exits the show after the January 5 performance. Foard originated the role of Richard Henry Lee in the 1997 Broadway revival of 1776 and has also appeared on Broadway in Kiss Me, Kate, Jekyll & Hyde, and Beauty and the Beast.

The revival of Oklahoma! opened at the Gershwin Theatre on March 21 and was nominated for seven Tony awards, including Best Musical Revival. Tickets may be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 212-307-4100.
