The Fourth Unity, a not for profit cooperative of artists is soliciting scripts for Unity Fest, a festival of gay themed plays. “While with any series of 11 plays a measure of inconsistency can be expected, Unity Fest comes close to total bliss. The variations are stunning.” (Tom Kertes, THE VILLAGE VOICE) The event will take place at the Bank Street Theater in Greenwich Village during June 2000 coinciding with Gay Pride Month. Each play should be 20-30 minutes in length, be a New York City premiere and have relevance to the gay community. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2000. Royalties will not be paid.
