The Public Theater and Theatre for a New Audience have announced an additional one-week extension of their coproduction of the American premiere of Wallace Shawn and André Gregory's Grasses of a Thousand Colors. The play, which opened October 28, will now close December 1.

Grasses of a Thousand Colors, written by Wallace Shawn and directed by André Gregory as part of The Wallace Shawn-André Gregory Project, is a dystopian fantasy about an ecological disaster caused by a doctor who believes he has solved world hunger by allowing the metabolisms of animals to tolerate eating their own kind.

The cast features Shawn, Julie Hagerty, Jennifer Tilly, Emily Cass McDonnell, and Kristina Mueller.
