Tony Nominee Jessica Hecht (The Assembled Parties) and Dominic Fumusa (Nurse Jackie) will star in Playwrights Horizons' upcoming off-Broadway production of Stage Kiss, a new play written by Sarah Ruhl and directed by Rebecca Taichman. The romantic comedy is set to begin previews February 7, with an opening set for March 2.

Hecht and Fumusa play two actors with a romantic history who are cast opposite each other as the romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama. Then the story they enact onstage follows them home. The company also includes Clea Alsip, Michael Cyril Creighton, Emma Galvin, and Patrick Kerr. An additional cast member will be announced in the coming weeks.

Featured on the creative team are Neil Patel (scenic design), Susan Hilferty (costume design), Jane Cox (lighting design), and Matt Hubbs (sound design).
