Complete Casting Announced for Ahrens & Flaherty Rocky Musical, Starring Andy Karl and Margo Seibert

The musical adaptation of the classic Sylvester Stallone film will open in 2014.

Complete casting has been announced for the upcoming Broadway musical Rocky, scheduled to begin previews at the Winter Garden Theatre on February 11, 2014, in advance of a March 13 opening. The musical features an original score by Tony Award-winning composers Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island) and a book by multiple Tony Award winner Thomas Meehan (The Producers, Hairspray). Tony-nominated director Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher) helms the production.

As previously announced, Andy Karl and Margo Seibert will star as the iconic romantic pair of Rocky and Adrian, alongside featured actors Terence Archie (The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity) as Apollo Creed, Dakin Matthews (All The Way) as Rocky's trainer, Mickey, and Danny Mastrogiorgio (Lucky Guy) as Adrian's brother, Paulie. Jennifer Mudge (Into the Woods) now joins the cast in the role of Gloria, Paulie's girlfriend.

The company will also feature Adrian Alfredo Aguilar, Eric Anderson, Michelle Aravena, James Brown III, Sam J. Cahn, Vincent Corazza, Kevin Del Aguila, Ned Eisenberg, Bradley Gibson, Stacey Todd Holt, Sasha Hutchings, David Andrew MacDonald, Vasthy Mompoint, Vince Oddo, Okieriete Onaodowan, Adam Perry, Kristin Piro, Luis Salgado, John Schiappa, Samantha Shafer, Wallace Smith, Jenny Lee Stern, Dan'yelle Williamson, and Mark Zimmerman.

The creative team includes set design by Chris Barreca, costume design by Tony nominee David Zinn, lighting design by Tony Award-winner Christopher Akerlind, sound design by Tony nominee Peter Hylenski, orchestrations by Tony award-winner Doug Besterman and Stephen Trask, and music supervision by David Holcenberg.
