Cirque du Soleil’s Totem to Raise Its Tent at NYC’s Citi Field on March 14

Cirque du Soleil will present a limited engagement of its new touring show, Totem, at New York’s Citi Field, March 14-April 7.

Written and directed by Robert Lepage, Totem traces the journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly. Since its world premiere in 2010, Totem has played over 16 different cities in four different countries.

Totem‘s creative team includes Neilson Vignola (director of creation), Carl Fillion (set and prop design), Kym Barrett (costume design), Bob & Bill (composition and musical direction), Jeff Hall (choreography), Étienne Boucher (lighting design), Pedro Pires (image content designer), Jacques Boucher (sound design), Pierre Masse (rigging and acrobatic equipment design), Florence Pot (acrobatic performance design), and Nathalie J. Simard (makeup design).

Lepage is the director of Cirque du Solei’s KA, which is currently playing at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Hotel. His many other stage and opera credits include The Andersen Project, The Far Side of the Moon, and The Tempest.
