Robert Cuccioli, Lauren Flanigan, Jeff McCarthy, et al. Set for Winter Rhythms

Performers have been announced for Winter Rhythms, a series of musical evenings to benefit Urban Stages’ Outreach Program, which provides free arts in education throughout New York City. The performances will take place at Urban Stages Theater, December 1-11.

The opening night benefit will honor Donald Smith, Founder of the Mabel Mercer Foundation, and be hosted by MAC winner Klea Blackhurst. Performers will include Jeff Harnar, Colleen McHugh, Karen Oberlin, Georgia Osborne, T. Oliver Reid and Jennifer Sheehan.

On Monday, December 5 at 9pm, there will be a special performance of Emmy Award winner Glen Roven’s I Hate Music: The Songs and Music of Glen Roven with Broadway performers Jeff McCarthy, Donna Lynne Champlin, Luba Mason, Nikolas King and noted opera singers Lauren Flanigan, Benjamin Perry Wenzelberg, Matthew Garrett and Christopher Herbert; and The Broadway Youth Ensemble.


The show on Friday, December 9 at 7pm will be All in Good Time: The Songs of Barry Levitt and Peter Napolitano, featuring their work together and with other collaborators. The cast will include Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli and cabaret artists Julie Reyburn, Susan Winter, Barbara Porteus, Helena Grenot, Deb Berman, Rob Langeder, Stacie Perlman, Janice Hall, Joshua Dixon, Fran Leonardis and Gary Crawford.

The series will also include solo shows by Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper, as well as award-winning cabaret artists Karen Oberlin, Jennifer Sheehan, Gay Marshall, Janice Hall, Sarah Rice and David Vernon, Daryl Glenn and Ricky Ritzel, Gretchen Reinhagen, and Tanya Holt, among others.

The closing night gala will star entertainer Steve Ross.
