PS 122 Announces Line-up for 2012 COIL Festival

Performance Space 122 has announced the line-up for its 2012 COIL Festival of experimental dance, theater and performance works from around the world, which will be presented at venues across New York City, January 5-29.

Among the theater-related highlights are Lebanese artist Rabih Mroué’s solo, Looking for a Missing Employee, as well as his work-in-progress lecture performance The Pixelated Revolution; El pasado es un animal grotesco / The past is a grotesque animal, directed by Mariano Pensotti and co-presented with The Public Theater’s Under the Radar Festival; the TEAM’s Mission Drift; David Levine’s Anger at the Movies; Temporary Distortion’s Newyorkland; and Young Jean Lee UNTITLED FEMINIST SHOW.

There will also be works from performance collective Every House Has a Door; dance artist Davis Freeman;
choreographer Heather Kravas; and choreographer Michael Kliën.

Venues will include both the Upstairs and Downstairs of Performance Space 122, as well as Baryshnikov Arts Center, The Connelly Theater, Howard Gillman Performance Space, The Invisible Dog Art Center, Mabou Mines, The Old School, The Public Theater, and SPiN New York.
