Russell Simmons, who produced the Broadway run of Russell Simmons Def Poetry Jam as well as its television incarnation, was honored at The Fortune Society annual benefit, held at Tribeca Rooftop, on Monday, November 7.

The event also honored Capital One Bank, and raised more than $200,000 to support Fortune's wide range of services that help formerly incarcerated individuals successfully re-enter their communities. Featured as part of the festivities was a performance of The Castle II, a sequel to the Off-Broadway hit, The Castle.
