MONETTE: I Love My Life to Premiere at Walkerspace

MONETTE: I Love My Life, by playwright Kymberle Joseph, makes its world premiere at Walkerspace, November 3-27. Jesse Wooden, Jr. will direct.

The solo play centers on the life of Kennedy “Monette”, performed by Jasmine Eileen Coles. Coles plays more than ten characters including Monette’s African-American father, her folklore-tale telling Caribbean mother and a very uptight best friend in this story where joy replaces despair.

The design team includes Tracy Bradshaw (set design), William H. Grant III (lighting design), Nicole Rachea (sound design), and Hopie Lynn Burrows (costume design).
