Emmy nominee Matthew Modine and Tony nominee Melissa Errico will star in More Between Heaven and Earth, a Salon/Sanctuary Concert at The Abigail Adams Smith Auditorium in New York City, on Saturday, December 17at 8pm. Erica Gould will direct.

This unique dramatic presentation is drawn from the passionate letters of Thomas Jefferson and painter/composer/musician Maria Cosway, intertwined with the performance of music mentioned in their correspondance, including works by Sacchini, Hewitt, and rarely performed compositions by Cosway herself.

Performers will also include Jessica Gould, soprano and Karim Sulayman, tenor with Members of the Clarion Society Orchestra.

Errico received a Tony nomination for Amour, with other Broadway credits including High Society, White Christmas, and My Fair Lady, among others. She recently released her newest CD, Legrand Affair.

Modine’s stage credits include The Miracle Worker on Broadway, Matthew Modine Saves the Alpacas at the Geffen Playhouse, Resurrection Blues at The Old Vic and Finishing the Picture at the Goodman. His films include Birdy, Married to the Mob, Vision Quest, Full Metal Jacket, Gross Anatomy, and Shortcuts. He received Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations for What the Deaf Man Heard and And the Band Played On.

The evening will benefit Americans United for Separation of Church and State.
