American Idol finalist Katharine McPhee will perform a song from NBC’s new musical drama Smash at the New York Musical Theatre Festival’s Eighth Annual Season Awards Gala, to be held at 6pm on Sunday, November 6 at The Hudson Theatre.

As previously reported, the event will honor producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan, with their award to be presented to them by stage and screen star Daniel Radcliffe.

Meron and Zadan are currently represented on Broadway with the revival of How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, which stars Radcliffe. They have produced numerous films, television series, and specials, including Footloose, Drop Dead Diva, Liza’s at the Palace, Hairspray, Chicago, Gypsy, and A Raisin in the Sun, and are also currently producing Smash, which will premiere in February.

The evening will also feature performances from some of this year’s most celebrated NYMF shows, including Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Central Avenue Breakdown, Date of a Lifetime, This One Girl’s Story, and Kiki Baby!
