Kate Baldwin, Aaron Lazar, et al. Set for Dallas Theatre Center’s Giant

Dallas Theater Center has announced casting for Giant, to run January 18 – February 19 in the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre at the AT&T Performing Arts Center . Michael Greif will direct the piece, co-produced with New York’s Public Theater, which will have choreography by Alex Sanchez.

With a score by Michael John LaChiusa and a book by Sybille Pearson, the show, based on Edna Ferber’s novel of the same name, is a sweeping tale about Texas ranchers in the first half of the 20th century.

The company will feature Aaron Lazar as Bick; Kate Baldwin as Leslie; P.J. Griffith as Jeff; Paul Aranas as Polo; Mary Bacon as Adarene and Mrs. Lyntonn; Miguel Cervantes as Angel, Jr. and Angel, Sr.; Natalie Cortez as Juana; Rocio Del Mar Valles as Analita; John Dossett as Bawley; Matt Doyle as Jordy, Jr.; Andrea Green as Lil Luz; Jason Hite as Bobby, Jr.; Dee Hoty as Luz; Doreen Montalvo as Lupe; Martin Sola as Dimodeo; Matthew Stocke as Mike; Katie Thompson as Vashti and William Youmans as Pinkie.

The ensemble will be comprised of Enrique Acevado, Michael Halling, Allison Rogers and Isabel Santiago.

The creative team will include scenic designer Allen Moyer, costume designer Jeff Mashie, lighting designer Ken Posner, and sound designer Brian Ronan.
