John Benjamin Hickey to Be Honored by Treatment Action Group

Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey will be among the honorees at the 15th annual Research in Action Awards (RIAA), presented by Treatment Action Group (TAG), at the 11th floor aerie of the MidTown Loft in New York City. Jenna Wolfe of NBC’s “Weekend Today” will serve as host for the event, which will take place on Sunday, December 11 beginning at 6:30pm.
The awards honor individuals who have made a significant contribution in AIDS research and activism. Additional honorees include Dr. Robert F. Siliciano and Dr. Polly Harrison, while presenters will include Andy Cohen.
Hickey won the 2011 Tony for his featured role as Felix in the Broadway production of The Normal Heart, and currently co-stars in Showtime’s The Big C.
