Hangar Theatre is set to present a workshop of the new musical Between Time and Timbuktu, on Friday, November 18 at 7pm and Saturday, November 19 at 2pm. Hangar Artistic Director Peter Flynn will direct.

Between Time and Timbuktu is a new musical adaptation Kurt Vonnegut’s teleplay, based on some of his most famous stories. With a book and lyrics by Andrew Barrett and music by Ira Antelis, the work tells the story of Stony Stevenson, the first American civilian to be sent alone into outer space, having written the winning jingle for Blast-Off Space Food. Traveling far away from the home and mother he loves, Stony meets a collection of Vonnegut’s most theatrical and compelling characters, searching for the answers to questions we ourselves ask.

The cast will feature many Broadway and Hangar veterans, including Adinah Alexander, Steven Booth, Julian Brightman, Alma Cuervo, Jerry Dixon, Merwin Goldsmith, Jamie LaVerdiere, Andrew Madsen, Laura Robertson, Ian Parmenter, and Kellyn Uhl.

Choreography will be by Devanand Janki, and musical direction will be by Logan Culwell.
