The creative team for the new Broadway revival of Gore Vidal’s The Best Man has been announced. Michael Wilson will direct this production, which will begin previews on January 30 at a theater to be announced on March 6, in anticipation of an April 1 opening.

The team will consist of scenic designer Derek McLane, lighting designer Kenneth Posner, and costume designer Ann Roth.

Vidal’s play, first seen on Broadway in 1960 and revived in 2000, focuses on politicians who are vying for a presidential nomination at a political party’s national convention.

As previously reported, the company will feature Candice Bergen, James Earl Jones, Angela Lansbury, John Larroquette, and Michael McKean. Additional casting will be announced in the near future.
