Jeffrey Fiske and Max McLean’s adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ novel The Screwtape Letters will play its final performance at the Westside Theatre on January 9, before embarking on a national tour. The production is directed by Fiske and stars McLean as Screwtape.

The tour will begin with an engagement at the Alex Theater in Glendale, CA, beginning January 15. Other stops will include the Balboa Theatre in San Diego, CA, the Arlene Schnitzer Hall in Portland, OR, the Moore Theatre in Seattle, WA, and the Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Additional dates and venues will be announced shortly.

Set in an office in hell, the play offers a look into spiritual warfare from a demon’s point of view when a senior devil, Screwtape, and his secretary, Toadpipe, train a new apprentice, Wormwood.

The creative team includes Cameron Anderson (scenic design), Michael Bevins (costume design), John Gromada (sound design and original music), and Jesse Klug (lighting design).
