Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Nikka Lanzarone, Barbara Walsh, Bree Williamson, et al. to Star in I Stand Before You Naked Benefit Reading

Becca Ayers, Janet Carroll, Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Nikka Lanzarone, Randy Redd, Mary Stout, Barbara Walsh, and Bree Williamson will star in a benefit reading of Joyce Carol Oates’ I Stand Before You Naked, at the Gerald Lynch Theater at John Jay College on Sunday, November 28 at 7pm. Bill Connington will direct the evening, which will benefit SAFE HORIZON, a charity that helps victims of domestic abuse.

The piece is about women oppressed by their husbands, their lovers, and themselves, and takes a look at misplaced love, infidelity, prostitution, and the primal desire to be loved.

The cast will also include Abby Royle Annmarie Benedict, Jennifer McCabe. Elizabeth Pojanowski, and Karin de la Penha.

Oates will participate in a pre-performance panel on the oppression of women, along with experts from the John Jay College faculty.
