Simon Keenlyside Among Winners of 2011 Musical America Awards

Simon Keenlyside, a baritone who starred earlier this year in the title role of Metropolitan Opera’s production of Ambroise Thomas’ Hamlet, is among the winners of the 2011 Musical America Awards, according to The New York Times.

Additional winners include violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, composer Thomas Adès, conductor Rafael Frühbeck dr Burgos, and educator Vivian Perlis.

The awards will be presented at Carnegie Hall on December 13.
