Sandra Bernhard, Brian Cox, Fiona Shaw, Peter Sellars, Robert Wilson, et al. Set for Appearances at Rubin Museum

Brian Cox, who will be returning to Broadway in the spring in a revival of That Championship Season, will appear in conversation at The Rubin Museum as part of the continuing lecture series Talk About Nothing, on Sunday, November 14 at 3pm.

Cox will explain how he divests himself of his own personality before assuming another for the stage. The event will also feature psychology professor Alison Gopnik.

Cox has previously starred on Broadway in such shows as Art and Rock ‘N’ Roll. He has worked extensively with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he gained great recognition for his portrayal of King Lear. He is a cast member of the Showtime series The Big C, with other Hollywood credits including Rushmore, The Bourne Supremacy, Troy, and Braveheart.

Future participants in the Talk About Nothing series will include comedian Sandra Bernhard (December 1), director Robert Wilson (December 6), voice and acting coach Patsy Rodenburg (December 19), performance artist Laurie Anderson (December 19), actress Fiona Shaw (January 17), and director Peter Sellars (January 29).
