Obie Award winner Sam Gold, who has directed the Roundabout Theatre Company’s sold-out run of Tigers Be Still, has been named a Roundabout Associate Artist.

The title is a way for the company to formalize the relationship with an artist. As such, Gold will be available to consult with the Artistic Director, and assist the theater in various educational and development activities.

Roundabout’s Associate Artists also include Mark Brokaw, Scott Elliott, Bill Irwin, Joe Mantello, Kathleen Marshall, and Theresa Rebeck.

Gold is also currently represented by the LCT3 production of The Coward. He won an Obie for directing Annie Baker’s Circle Mirror Transformation, with other directing credits including
Jollyship the Whiz-Bang, The Aliens, Rag and Bone, and The Black Eyed.
