Actress Nina Arianda and ballet dancer Chase Finlay have won the inaugural awards presented by the Clive Barnes Foundation. The winners were announced in a ceremony held on November 9 at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theatre, with special presenters Cherry Jones and Frederic Franklin.

The awards honor one up-and-coming performer in theater and one in dance and carry a $5,000 prize.

Arianda starred in the Classic Stage Company production of Venus in Fur. Finlay is a dancer with the New York City Ballet.
