Irish Rep Extends Conor McPherson’s St. Nicholas

Irish Repertory Theatre has announced a one-week extension of Conor McPherson’s solo play, St. Nicholas, which will now close on November 28. Alex Dmitriev has directed the production, which stars John Martello.

In this modern-day Gothic tale, a jaded and cynical Dublin Drama critic comes under the spell of a beautiful young actress and pursues her into a coven of vampires. The production will feature lighting design by Mary Jo Dondlinger.

Martello’s prior credits include the solo play Damon Runyon’s Tales of Broadway and the Off-Broadway production of The Lodger. He received an Outer Critics Circle nomination for his performance in the musical revue Daugherty & Field.
