The Broadway production of David Mamet’s A Life in the Theatre, starring Patrick Stewart and T.R. Knight, has officially confirmed that it will now end its engagement at the Schoenfeld Theatre on November 28. The limited engagement had originally been announced to run through January 2.

The play, directed by Neil Pepe, focuses on the relationship between two thespians: Robert, an older, experienced performer (Stewart); and John (Knight), a relative newcomer. While Robert’s guidance is welcomed by John at first, as the play progresses Robert falters as an actor and mentor, and John emerges as a mature actor.

The creative team includes Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design), and Laura Bauer (costume design).
