Broadway Kids Care to Perform at UNICEF Snowflake Lighting Ceremony

Broadway Kids Care (BKC), the organization of theater kids for kids (and others), will perform holiday songs at the 2010 UNICEF Snowflake lighting ceremony, to be held at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in New York City, on Thursday, November 18 at 6:30pm.

Among the performers will be Alex Ko, who alternates in the title role of Billy Elliot: The Musical, along with young Broadway actors Matthew Lobenhofer, Katherine McNamara, Laurissa Romain, and sixteen other members of the organization.

This year’s event will also feature an appearance by HGTV’s Vern Yip, who will flip the switch to illuminate the UNICEF Snowflake, the largest outdoor chandelier of its kind, which signifies the beginning of the gift-giving season across the globe.
