Alexandra Hastings, Jeff Lewonczyk, Robert Ross Parker, et al Set for Brick Theater’s Fight Fest 2

The Brick Theater has announced the lineup of productions that will be part of Fight Fest 2: A Celebration of Fight Theatre, to run December 2-22.

Among the offerings in the Festival will be Larry Pontius’ pirate-themed Dar and Matey’s Christmas SpectaculARGH! (December 4-22), directed by Robert Ross Parker; and Jeff Lewonczyk’s swashbuckling revision to the story of the first Christmas: Bethlehem or Bust: How the Three Kings Teamed Up to Deliver the World’s Very First Christmas Presents (December 11-19). Hope Cartelli will stage this production, which will feature fight direction by Adam Swiderski and Alexis Black.

Fight Fest will also include Kit Bihum’s history of jesters and harlequins Bandage (December 4-18), to be staged by Snehal Desai and fight directed by Stephanie Willing; Stephen Cedars’ glimpse at familial dysfunction, Raising Cane: A Family Portrait (December 4-19), which Cedars will direct with Christina Latimer and feature fights by Stephen Heskett; Alexandra Hastings’ riff on Shakespeare, Rapier Wit! (December 3-17), which will have fight direction by David Dean Hastings; and James Gaddas’ look at a young boxer who’s trying to avoid his father’s mistakes, Shadow Boxing (December 8-21), to be staged and fight directed by Donald Pulford.
