Composer Marvin Hamlisch and Tony Award-winner Donna McKechnie performed at Barnes & Noble/Lincoln Triangle on Thursday, November 12 as part of a promotion for the Chorus Line documentary Every Little Step, now available on DVD.

James D. Stern and Adam Del Deo’s film explores the journey of the musical A Chorus Line, comparing and contrasting the original musical, which debuted at the Public Theater in 1975, with the current revival, now touring the country. It also investigates the societies in which they debuted, and why the themes are so timeless and universal, and goes behind the scenes with exclusive interviews from cast and creators, as well as footage of the revival’s audition process.

Hamlisch, who wrote the Tony Award-winning score to the musical, and McKechnie, who won her Tony for playing Cassie in the original production of the show, were joined by actor Lee Roy Reams at the Barnes & Noble event.
