Academy Award winner Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell, Zoe Kazan, and Anthony Mackie will star in Martin McDonagh’s new play, A Behanding in Spokane, which will play Broadway’s Gerald Schoenfeld Theater for a 16-week engagement, beginning on February 15. The production, which will open officially on March 4, will be directed by John Crowley, and feature sets and costumes by Scott Pask and lighting by Brian MacDevitt.

The black comedy involves a man searching for his missing hand, two con artists out to make a few hundred bucks, and an overly curious hotel clerk. This world premiere marks McDonagh’s first American-set play.

McDonagh received Tony nominations for The Beauty Queen of Leenane, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, The Pillowman, and The Lonesome West. His plays also include The Cripple of Inishmaan and A Skull in Connemara. He won the Academy Award for the short film Six Shooter.
