Brian Stokes Mitchell to Promote Lights on Broadway at Upcoming Events

Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell is set for two upcoming in-store NYC appearances and signings for the new children’s book Lights on Broadway: A Theatrical Tour from A to Z. As previously announced, he will sign copies and perform at Barnes & Noble/Lincoln Triangle on Friday, November 20 at 5pm, and will be joined by a group of kid performers from TaDa! In addition, he will sign copies of the book at Books of Wonder on Sunday, November 22 from 2pm to 4pm.

Lights on Broadway, published by Blue Apple Books, is written by Harriet Ziefert, illustrated by Elliot Kreloff, and features an introduction by Mitchell. Each entry introduces readers to behind-the-scenes Broadway, and the volume contains quotes from Broadway luminaries such as Whoopi Goldberg, Kevin Kline, Nathan Lane, Billy Crudup, Harvey Fierstein, Stephen Sondheim, and more. The book also includes a CD featuring Mitchell singing Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty’s “I Was Here,” from the musical, The Glorious Ones. A portion of the proceeds from book sales goes to benefit The Actors Fund.
