Aunjanue Ellis to Join CBS’ The Mentalist

Broadway veteran Aunjanue Ellis is joining the cast of CBS’ The Mentalist in the recurring role of the new head of the California Bureau of Investigation, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Her first appearance on the series, which stars Simon Baker and Robin Tunney, will be in April.

Ellis has appeared on Broadway in Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, Drowning Crow, and The Tempest. She starred in the Shakespeare in the Park production of The Winter’s Tale. Her previous television credits include E-Ring, Justice, True Blood, and The Good Wife.
