The second season of the FX legal drama Damages, starring Tony Award winner Glenn Close, will begin its 13-episode season on January 7.

Oscar winners William Hurt and Marcia Gay Harden and fellow stage veteran Timothy Olyphant will join Close and returning stars Ted Danson and Rose Byrne in the series, which focuses on a powerful lawyer.

Close has won Tony Awards for Sunset Boulevard, Death and the Maiden, and The Real Thing and also appeared in the Broadway musical Barnum. A five-time Oscar nominee, her numerous film credits include The World According to Garp, Fatal Attraction, and Dangerous Liaisons.

She won the Emmy Award this year for her work on Damages and previously for Serving in Silence and has been nominated for eight other performances.
