Full casting has been announced for York Theatre Company's developmental reading of the new musical, Take Me America, featuring book and lyrics by Bill Nabel with music by Bob Christianson. The reading will be presented at the Theatre at St. Peter's Church on Tuesday, November 11 at 3 pm. Susan Russell will direct, with musical direction by Amy Duran.

The musical follows nine refugees in their quest for asylum in the US and three Immigration agents who decide their fate. The show is inspired by true stories, and was previously presented at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in 2007, winning the festival's "Best Musical" award.

The cast will include Ana Maria Andricain, Quinn Van Antwerp, Marie France Arcillo, Eric Chan, Jan Leslie Harding, Aalok Mehta, Mike Mitchell, Jr., Raymond Sage, Michael Schultz, Natasha Tabandera, Mariand Torres, and Ernest Williams.
