A one-hour presentation sample of the new musical The Suicide will be presented at 6:30pm on Tuesday, November 25 at the Snapple Theater Center as part of the Musical Mondays Theater Lab.

Adapted from Nikolai Erdman’s 1928 comedy of the same name about an unemployed grouch who believes committing suicide may be his only chance of greatness, the show features a book by David Bridel, music by Simon Gray, and lyrics by Raymond Bokhour, who will also appear in the presentation, to be directed by Patrick Smith. The cast will also feature Christine Bokhour, David Costabile, Bradley Dean, Kim Shriver, David Spangenthal, Jimmy Smagukla, Mark Sanders, and Eric Conklin.

On Tuesday, December 4 at 4pm, the Lab will present a one-hour sampling of Matthew Hardy and Randy Klein’s The Thing About Joe, to be directed by Richard Sabellico.
The show concerns a young man from Idaho who rebels against his pill-pushing psychiatrist mother to come to New York and pursue his dream of becoming a great Maitre D’ like his late father. The cast will feature Trey Mitchell, Kevin B. McGlynn, David Shih, and Aurelia Williams.

Tickets to each presentation are $10 and can be ordered by calling 212-989-6706 or emailing musicalmondays@aol.com.
