Blaemire, Lisitza, et al. Set for Iconis’ ReWrite

Full casting has been announced for the world premiere of Joe Iconis’ ReWrite: a musical comedy triple feature, to be presented by Urban Stages, December 6-January 3, with an opening set for December 10. John Simpkins will direct.

ReWrite focuses on normal people dealing with little problems that seem huge and huge problems boiled down to something a bit more manageable. It includes the mini-musicals Nelson Rocks, Miss Marzipan and The Process.

The cast will include Nick Blaemire, Badia Farha, Lorinda Lisitza, Lauren Marcus, AJ Shively, and Jason “Sweettooth” Williams. The creative team will feature Michael Schweikardt (set), Michelle Eden Humphrey (costumes), Chris Dallos (lighting), Craig Kaufman (sound), Alex Koch (video design), and Jennifer Werner (choreography).

Iconis’ Things to Ruin, the songs of Joe Iconis, is currently being presented at The Zipper Factory Theater. His other musicals include The Black Suits and The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks. He is the recipient of an Ed Kleban Award and a Jonathan Larson Award.
