Actor Michael Higgins Dies at 88

Award-winning stage actor Michael Higgins died on November 5 in New York City from heart failure, according to The New York Times. He was 88 years old.

His many New York stage credits included Antigone, Romeo and Juliet, The Lark, Reunion, Antony and Cleopatra, The Iceman Cometh, Equus, and Molly. He won two Obie Awards and a Drama Desk Award nomination for his work.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, three children, Deirdre, Sean, and Christopher, and four siblings, Hugh, Thomas, Marie, and Anna.
