The National Arts Club has announced that playwright Jordan Harrison will receive the Kesselring Fellowship, and playwrights Will Eno, Rinne Groff and Marcus Gardley will receive Kesselring Honors.

Harrison will receive $7000 of direct support and $14,000 of indirect support through development, in addition to a committed residency and workshop at the Orchard Project in upstate New York. His tenure will be marked by a reading of a play of their choice at the start of the fellowship and a reading of the new play at the end of the year. Each honoree receives $1500 in direct support and an additional $2000 in indirect support through development.

Harrison is the author of Doris To Darlene, which will be seen later this month at Playwrights Horizons, as well as Act A Lady, Finn In The Underworld, The Museum Play, Kid-Simple, and Amazons And Their Men.

Eno is the author of Oh the Humanity…and Other Good Intentions, a group of short plays to debut later this month at the Flea, and Thom Pain (based on nothing), which was a finalist for the 2005 Pulitzer Prize. Groff’s many plays include In the Bubble, What Then, The Ruby Sunrise, Inky, and Jimmy Carter Was a Democrat. Gardley’s plays include dance of the holy ghost and (L)imitations of Life.
